Nordic Championship in Age of Empires IV
VES and Rising Empires are pleased to invite you to the 2024 Nordic championship in the real-time strategy game Age of Empires IV (AoE4), which will be held in Bergen from July 12 to 14, 2024. This year's most prestigious AoE4 competition in the Nordics!
The championship is a one-on-one tournament played over three days, and the eight best from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland participate. When it's all over, a Nordic Champion is crowned 👑
Most real-time strategy game tournaments take place online, so this is a unique opportunity for participants to compete face-to-face on a stage in front of a live audience. The format also gives the players useful experience to take new steps against the world elite and helps create a stronger Nordic AoE4 community at the highest level.
In addition to the competitive tournament, this is also a social and cultural gaming event for the RTS community in Bergen. Welcome to a three-day gaming party in the most beautiful city of Norway—Bergen!
About the game
Age of Empires IV is a real-time strategy game with a medieval theme. Strategy and tactics are used to knock out the opponent. As a player, you must balance the need to recruit an army, develop technology, and build a sustainable economy. Quick decision-making, quick fingers, and a high degree of multitasking are required to succeed.
The game can be compared to a game of chess, where both players make moves simultaneously, and new pieces are constantly added to the board.
A match usually lasts between 15 and 30 minutes.
